Staying Consistent in My MLM Home Business

The hardest part for me working my MLM business full-time from home, is staying consistent.

I find I want to work more than I am able to. For instance when I'd like to make phone calls my daughter suddenly needs my undivided attention.

I'm finding that being a stay at home mom and building a business, don't always compliment each other. I'm sure it's different for every mom, but I find it frustrating to hear over and over make more calls, talk to more people, connect more...

I don't get out that much and when I do, it's with an almost 3 year old in tow. So prospecting live, in my home town, is not a viable option for me. Making more calls is legitimate advice, yet it hasn't been working for me.

So as Jim Rohn says, paraphrasing here, "Don't talk about what you can't do, talk about what you will do if you can."

Here's what I know I can, and therefore will, do:

  • Buy leads online
  • Make the time to talk to at least 2 new people about my business every day
  • Make the time to follow up with 2 people each day
  • Read and/or listen to relevant motivational and MLM related information each day
  • Use my company's products and write my testimonial
  • Stay aware of my thoughts, and continue to refine my understanding of how our thoughts create our realities
  • Set clear goals and intentions for reaching them

There is a huge need for practical information for women who want to stay home with their children and build a network marketing business. Do I have to figure it all out and write that book myself? Or do you know of one you can recommend to me? Or maybe because every family is so different, that book can never be written...

Later...

Hi tracy,

Staying consistant is tough for us part timers as well...Especially when you do a lot of Internet marketing! So much to do and so little time to do it!

How to stay focused...
#1 Jot down ideas through the day so when you sit down at the PC you have some plan of action or priority list.

#2 Set a time deadline for yourself before sitting down at the PC. Real easy to waist away 2 hours and get nothing got done.

#3 tough to do after a day at work but make it a time when you can say..."I'm working my business no distractons please." I'm up late a lot but it's quite after 10:00 when I can call it my time.

Most important...Touch base with your dream each day and night if needed. Use a picture, a writting or what ever helps you focus!

Happy Celling!
